Voter Registration

As an American union worker or supporter, you know that our elected leaders can and do have a great impact on many issues that directly affect our lives and livelihoods, including safety and working conditions, overtime pay, workers' rights to unionize, health care, the exporting of American jobs overseas, and much more.

Several of our recent elections have been closely contested. Now more than ever, EVERY VOTE COUNTS. You can make a difference in future elections by getting out and voting.

If you are not registered to vote (or if you've moved since the last time you voted, or if you're not sure you're correctly registered), you can register or check your status online.

A quick web search turns up several great web sites with comprehensive resources and information about registering to vote. Here are a few of them:

PA State Voter Registration web page:

The Federal Election Commission's National Mail Voter Registration Form -- the one document that allows you to register to vote from anywhere in the United States (normally you'd do it through your state):

Voter registration, forms, voter education, etc. from Declare Yourself, a national nonpartisan, nonprofit campaign initiated in 2004 to energize and empower a new movement of young voters:
